Objectives:

Learn the fundamentals of state space models for linear dynamic systems.
Learn ways of classifying and measuring the stability and other performance properties of state space systems.
Learn state space controller design techniques to improve performance in feedback systems.

Course Requirements:

2 Tests, 50%
Homework 15%
Design Project, 15%
Final Exam, 20%

The lower test grade for each student will count 20%, and the higher test grade will count 30%

Important Dates:

Test 1 -- February 26 -- Chapters 3, 4, 5, 6
Test 2 -- April 9 -- Chapters 7, 8, 9, 10
Final Exam -- May 14, 4:30 - 7:15 p.m. -- Comprehensive, with Chapters 11, 12, 13 emphasized

Final Drop Deadline -- Friday, February 22
No classes March 11 - 17 due to Spring Break!!!
