- MiKTeX: MiKTeX (pronounced mick-tech) is an up-to-date implementation of TeX and related programs for Windows (all current variants). TeX is a typesetting system written by Donald E. Knuth, who says that it is "intended for the creation of beautiful books - and especially for books that contain a lot of mathematics".
- WinEdt: WinEdt™ (shareware) is a powerful and versatile text editor for Windows with a strong predisposition towards the creation of [La]TeX documents... WinEdt is used as a front-end for compilers and typesetting systems, such as TeX, HTML or NSIS (NEW!). WinEdt's highlighting schemes can be customized for different modes and its spell checking functionality supports multi-lingual setups, with dictionaries (word-lists) for many languages available for downloading from WinEdt's Community Site www.winedt.org.
- Aurora: Aurora lets you use LaTeX in Microsoft® Word, PowerPoint®, Visio®, Excel®, and many other programs. It makes sure that your formulas look good, print prettily, and play nice with the rest of the text. Aurora takes care of the little things like numbering equations and positioning them on the page, and stays out of your way the rest of the time.
